📝 Project Description
SEX FAQs is a bold, honest, and much-needed guide that answers the real questions teens are actually asking about sex, relationships, identity, and the body—without filters, shame, or euphemisms. It’s part educational tool, part conversation-starter, and 100% teen-centered.
My role in this project was to create a series of editorial illustrations that would speak directly to a young audience—without being childish or overly simplistic. The tone needed to be fun and accessible, but also respectful and inclusive. It was a delicate balance to strike: visual storytelling that felt honest and friendly, while handling complex, sensitive topics with care.
I worked closely with the editorial team at Larousse to develop a consistent visual language: minimal, expressive linework and a limited color palette that could support the text without overpowering it. The illustrations range from objects and symbolic elements to everyday scenes and characters—always aiming to reflect the diversity of identities, experiences, and bodies represented in the book.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was knowing the illustrations weren’t just decorative—they helped make tough conversations easier to approach. And that, in itself, felt meaningful.
🗣️ The book is currently available in Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese, with a Russian edition coming soon.
