Baking at Home (Like a Queen) - Personal Work

Year: 2025

I’ve always wanted to illustrate a cookbook. I love baking bread at home. I make it with sourdough and lots and lots of resting time—and patience.

I taught myself how to do it while I was living in Mexico. Just like almost everything I’ve learned in life: through trial and error. Over and over again. Falling down and getting back up. That’s how I’ve done everything in my life.

That’s why I create these illustrations—for an imaginary project that might one day become real. Or maybe not. But if I don’t do it, I’ll never know.

That’s how I do things. That’s how I’ve always done things. I just do them—without expecting anything, and expecting everything at the same time.

Because that’s how life works. Anything is possible with every passing second.

Who am I to say this dream can’t come true?

That’s why I keep doing what I do. Because I always have.
